Travelling from the Airport
Liszt Ferenc International Airport offers several options to travel into the city centre of Budapest. The journey takes approximately 35-50 minutes.

By car: Please only use the FŐTAXI booths directly in front of Gate A and B to order a taxi. Please note that all other options might not be trustworthy. If you fail to locate the booth, please dial the following number and request a taxi through their operator: +3612222222. The journey costs approximately 7200 HUF = 26 EUR. Please also note that UBER is not available in Hungary, but Bolt (formerly Taxify) is.

By shuttle: Airport shuttle is also available for approximately 17 EUR via this website.

By public transport: All info on public transportation can be found via this link . Please note that although it is a cheaper option (three tickets cost 4 EUR), it takes at least 45 minutes to 1 hour to get into the city.

Currency
Please note that in most places you can only pay in Hungarian Forint. This means that you need to have some currency on you – we recommend at least 10.000 HUF. Please note that paying by cash and card are both usually available at bars, restaurants and cafés, as well as in hotels.
